Ongoing support for thoughtful, child-led, nature-rich practice

Wild Minds.png

Wild Minds+ is our monthly membership for early years practitioners, childminders, educators and anyone who wants to develop a more reflective, inclusive and nature-rich approach to working with children.

This isn’t another membership designed to give you hundreds of activities to work through.

Wild Minds+ is about helping you notice more, understand more and feel more confident in the decisions you make every day.

Inside, you’ll find downloadable resources, reflective tools, professional development, monthly practice packs and a growing library of support to help you look beneath what children are doing and think more deeply about what they might be learning, communicating, exploring or needing.

What’s included in Wild Minds+?

A Brand-New Monthly Practice Pack

Every month, Wild Minds+ members receive a new themed Monthly Practice Pack.

Each month explores a seasonal, developmental or practice-based focus and brings together resources you can actually use in your setting.

Your monthly pack includes downloadable resources, reflective practice tools, printable materials and a short 20-minute CPD masterclass.

You’ll also receive a CPD certificate for completing the monthly masterclass, helping you build your professional development throughout the year.

Our monthly packs explore areas such as:
Seasonal changes and nature connection
Schemas and repeated patterns of play
Transitions and routines
SEND and inclusive practice
Children’s behaviour and communication
Sensory needs and regulation
Outdoor environments
Reflective practice
Child-led learning
The role of the adult

The focus is always on helping you understand your practice more deeply rather than simply giving you another list of activities to complete.

A Growing CPD Training Library

Wild Minds+ also includes access to our growing library of bite-sized CPD training.

We are continuing to develop and add new training to the membership over time, meaning your library will continue to grow as Wild Minds+ develops.

Our planned training library explores areas including schemas, reflective practice, nature pedagogy, behaviour as communication, outdoor environments, loose parts, risky play, SEND, sensory processing, child-led planning, the adult role, mixed-age practice and supporting babies outdoors.

Training is designed to be short, practical and easy to fit around busy working lives.

New training will be added to Wild Minds+ over time.

Planning Hub Download

Our Wild Minds+ Planning Hub is a downloadable resource designed to help you move away from planning endless adult-led activities and towards planning from what you genuinely notice.

It helps you begin with the child.

What are they interested in?
What are they repeating?
What might they be exploring?
What is their play telling you?
And what could you change, offer or do next?

The aim is to make planning feel simpler, more responsive and more meaningful.

Observation → Ideas Support

Sometimes the hardest part of observing children is knowing what to do with what you have noticed.

Our resources help you move from:
What happened?
to
What might this child be exploring?
and then
How could I respond?
without feeling that every observation has to lead to an adult-planned activity.

Sometimes the response might be adding something.

Sometimes it might be changing the environment.

And sometimes it might simply be giving the child more time.

Deeper Schema Support
Schemas are about much more than spotting that a child likes transporting or lining things up.

Inside Wild Minds+, you'll find deeper schema resources to help you explore what repeated patterns of behaviour might be telling you.

You'll be supported to think about how schemas can influence your environment, resources, observations and responses to children's play.

SEND & Inclusive Practice Hub Download

Our SEND & Inclusive Practice Hub is a downloadable resource designed to support more thoughtful and inclusive practice.

It encourages you to think about communication, regulation, sensory needs, accessibility, participation and the environment.

Rather than beginning with:
“How do we make this child fit our provision?”
we encourage you to consider:
“What could we change within our provision to make it more accessible for this child?”

Reflective Practice Resources

Wild Minds+ is built around reflection.

You’ll find prompts, audits and downloadable resources designed to help you look at your provision with fresh eyes.

You might explore:
What is working well?
Where are the barriers?
Who can access this space independently?
Where can children move freely?
What opportunities are there for genuine choice?
Are we adding things because children need them, or because we feel we should?

Often, the most powerful changes in practice are small ones.

Looking Through The Wild Lens

At the heart of Wild Minds+ is something we call The Wild Lens.

Instead of immediately asking:

“What activity should I set up?”

we encourage you to ask:

What am I noticing?

What might the child be exploring?

What is their behaviour communicating?

What is the environment making possible?

Is there a barrier I could remove?

What might I offer next?

Or do I simply need to give this more time?

Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can do isn't add more.

It's to notice what's already happening.
