Children’s Books

Our books are created to support children, families, and educators in understanding themselves, each other, and the world around them. Each story is crafted with heart, rooted in nature, and shaped by the belief that children deserve to feel seen, safe, and wonderfully themselves.

These books sit at the heart of our ethos, blending emotional literacy, ecological awareness, and imaginative storytelling to help children grow wild, confident, and connected.

Nora and the Whirly Brain

A story about neurodiversity, big feelings, and learning to love who you are.

Nora and the Whirly Brain follows Nora, a bright and curious child whose mind whirls, spins, and dances in ways that sometimes feel “different” from everyone else’s. Through her journey, children discover:

  • What it feels like to experience the world through a neurodivergent lens

  • How overwhelming moments can be understood with compassion

  • That being different is not something to fix, it’s something to celebrate

  • The power of self‑acceptance, belonging, and finding your own rhythm

This book supports families and educators in opening gentle conversations about neurodiversity, identity, and emotional regulation. It’s a story for every child who has ever felt “too much” or “not enough”, and for the adults who want to understand them better.

Marnie and Arnie the Invisible Polar Bear

A tale of friendship, adventure, and learning to care for the natural world.

Marnie and Arnie tells the story of Marnie, a spirited child with a wild imagination, and Arnie, her invisible polar bear friend who joins her on every adventure. Marnie loves exploring, climbing, splashing, and stomping… sometimes a little too roughly.

  • Through their adventures, Arnie gently teaches Marnie:

  • How to move through nature with respect and curiosity

  • How to notice the small, magical details of the world around her

  • How to care for living things, from tiny insects to towering trees

  • That adventure and gentleness can live side by side

This story helps children build empathy, environmental awareness, and a sense of stewardship, all wrapped in imagination, humour, and heart.

Where the Wild Ones Learn: Nature Studies

We write Nature Curriculums that use recycled and natural materials. We have then linked these to the 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You don't need to be in childcare to follow our curriculums. They are also great to do with your own children. We have a membership page too where we post daily nature theme activities, baking and cooking ideas, mindfulness, original poems, educational blogs, printables such as flashcards, recipes for sensory resources and more, plus tips on living sustainably.
