Practical resources for seeing learning differently.

Books, guides and nature studies designed to deepen understanding without adding unnecessary complexity.

Nature Studies

Follow a curiosity. Explore it more deeply. See where it leads.

Our Nature Studies are designed to help children explore the natural world through curiosity, hands-on experience, play and connection.

Rather than trying to recreate school outdoors, each study gives you a gentle starting point for following an interest, whether that begins with a changing season, a sunflower growing in the garden, footprints in the mud, a creature stirring after dark or a question about the world beyond our own.

Inside, you’ll find a thoughtful mix of nature exploration, stories, facts, creative invitations, practical ideas and learning connections that can be dipped into and adapted around the children in front of you.

There is no need to work through them in order or complete everything.

Notice what captures the child’s attention.

Follow the questions that emerge.

Stay with something for longer if fascination grows.

Leave something completely if their curiosity travels elsewhere.

Because meaningful nature learning doesn’t have to begin with a lesson plan.
